Sutton Recognised for Climate Action

Sutton was recognised for its net-zero carbon achievements by the UK Real Estate Investment & Infrastructure Forum.
Several projects were mentioned, including the zero-carbon community at BedZED in Hackbridge and the borough’s world-leading energy-efficient Passivhaus Schools.
Lib Dem Environment lead Barry Lewis said:
“It’s great to see the Council’s work getting the recognition it deserves.
“We have a proud history of environmental achievements in Sutton.
“For years we have delivered high-quality projects here before anywhere else in the UK.”
