Promoting community health at St Helier Wellbeing Day
Local community organisations came together at the Autumn St Helier Charitable Foundation Wellbeing Day, held at the David Weir Centre, to promote health and wellbeing.
The event saw participation from groups such as CDARS Health and Wellbeing Project, Parkinson’s UK, Cranstoun, the Volunteer Centre, and the Carers Centre, all offering resources and support to local residents.
Councillor Paul Cole attended the event and engaged with various organisations, exploring ideas for strengthening community wellbeing. Commenting afterwards, he said, “It was fantastic to discuss ideas for strengthening community wellbeing, including conversations with the Volunteer Centre about youth projects and apprenticeships.
"There are opportunities and resources available for people of all ages to improve their wellbeing.”
The event highlighted the importance of collaboration in building a healthier and more resilient community.
As well as a focus on health, the St Helier Charitable Foundation does amazing work supporting residents with a variety of other issues. Find out more here.
