Preserving Carshalton's beloved heritage buildings

27 Jul 2023

Plans have been approved to secure the long-term future of Grove House in Carshalton.

The building will be sensitively converted for residential use by Sutton Living, a council-owned company.

This follows applications being submitted to bring Stonecourt on North Street back into use and the successful conversion of The Lodge.

Lib Dem Councillors for Carshalton Central -- Isabel Araujo, Andrew Jenner and Jake Short -- welcome these developments as the best way to preserve our cherished heritage buildings by bringing them back into use.

While other parties are happy to see heritage buildings left empty, Lib Dems have fought for community-backed plans to preserve our much-loved heritage buildings.
