Praise for ‘vital' community event at the Roundshaw Phoenix Centre
The monthly Roundshaw Drop-In has been praised as a ‘vital’ resource for local residents, offering access to key support services.
Residents can ‘drop in’ to the Phoenix Centre entrance hall from 11:00 to 12:30 on the last Thursday of each month, except in August and December, to connect with physical, financial, and mental support services.
MTVH’s repairs team regularly attend the Roundshaw Drop-In and answer many queries from residents. This event is particularly helpful for resolving long-term and difficult-to-fix issues with Roundshaw properties.
Councillor Ed Joyce hosts his councillor advice surgeries at the event and was joined last time by the Member of Parliament for Carshalton and Wallington, Bobby Dean. Ed praised the collaborative nature of the event, stating, “It’s vital that residents can connect with local support services and raise the concerns that matter to them.
These sessions give us the chance for all organisations to listen and work together to make South Beddington and Roundshaw a better place to live.”
Visitors to the drop-in can also take advantage of the Wallington Wellbeing event hosted in St. Paul’s Church on the same day, which runs from 10:30 to 12:00.
