Free road closures for Coronation parties

2 Mar 2023

Residents can now apply to hold street parties to celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III over the May bank holiday weekend.

Sutton Council has waived the fee for road closures and streamlined the process to make it as easy as possible.

Cllr Ruth Dombey, Liberal Democrat Leader of Sutton Council said:

“This is a great opportunity to bring our community together to celebrate this historic occasion.

"Applications are expected to be high, so be sure to get yours in before the deadline on 23rd April."
