Community Round-Up: Supporting young people

29 Jul 2022

Lib Dem candidate for Carshalton & Wallington, Bobby Dean, has been out and about in the community this month, supporting local events, charities and young people in the constituency.

Bobby visited the Wallington Music Festival, where Councillor Gemma Munday sang along with Relight My Choir, and attended the Diamond Riding Centre’s Summer Fundraising dinner.

Councillor Dean also attended the launch of Hackbridge’s retirement village Button House as well as the 20th-anniversary celebration of BedZed, which doubled up as a farewell party for co-creators Bioregional who are moving into a new office space in central London.

Finally, Bobby has been busy engaging with young people in the local community. He attended Carshalton Boys careers workshop, offering advice on how to get into social change work with charities and in politics. He also hosted two work experience placements in the office in partnership with local schools.
