Commemorating Queen Elizabeth II
Queen Elizabeth II was a defining presence over her 70 year reign.
2023 is a very different world to when The Queen came to the throne but one constant is Wallington Green.
A traveller from 1952 would instantly recognise our Green bounded by the Duke's Head pub, the Guide Hall and the stone war memorial erected in 1922.
The traveller would see some changes on the Green -- a recently planted maple tree and circular bench, funded by Sutton Council and the Friends of Wallington Green.
A touching way to remember The Queen and provide shade and a place to rest for visitors.
