Bobby’s Community Round-Up: Jubilee celebrations in town

25 Jun 2022

This month, Bobby Dean, running to be MP for Carshalton & Wallington, joined local residents in Queen’s Jubilee celebrations and attended a number of local events.

Bobby attended the Mayor’s beacon lighting ceremony to mark the start of Her Majesty the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations at St Helier Open Space, before attending several Jubilee street parties and events including at the Honeywood Museum and The Greyhound pub.

Councillor Dean also volunteered at the St Helier Music and Community Festival, helping to mark out the pitches, setup and welcome groups in at the start of the day. The Deputy Mayor, Councillor Colin Stears, was later in attendance and they toured the stalls together.

Finally, Bobby was busy supporting other local events including trekking the Carshalton Artists Open Studios trail and taking part in the tour of Sutton Community Farm.
