Your Worcester Park North Liberal Democrat team
Joanna and Israel
Joanna and Israel are the local Lib Dem team fighting for all of us in Worcester Park North.
Like most of us, they are sick and tired of being represented by Conservative councillors who just talk our area down and have no plan for the future. They have decided to step up for the community and run for election themselves - making sure this area has hardworking local champions fighting for it in the Council chamber.
They back the hard work the local Lib Dem council and Luke Taylor MP have been doing to secure new investment in our high streets, keep our borough one of the safest places to live in the country and make sure that help is available to families struggling with the cost of living crisis.
Unlike the Conservative councillors, Joanna and Israel are already out and about in our community, knocking on doors and fixing local issues. Together, they will fight for Worcester Park North's future, making sure that nobody is left behind and that local residents and groups are involved in decision making.
Jo worked in marketing and public relations before joining the NHS. She cares deeply that health outcomes are fair and equitable in our borough and that the best possible healthcare is available to everyone locally.
She is now a carer for her daughter - an experience that has led to her chairing a local charity of SEN families, helping them with EHCP's and Continuing Healthcare Plans, as well as raising money for a new sensory garden for SEN children. She believes that protecting strong communities, who look out for one another, is vital to building a bright future for Sutton.
Israel first moved to Sutton to be nearer his family and works in finance in the city of London. As someone who is passionate about local jobs and the local economy, he has personally coached many people locally to find work and grow in their careers.
In his spare time, Israel volunteers for the Global Fund for Children, a charity focused on helping community groups stand up for the rights of young people and children around the world. He is committed to the brightest possible future for children and wants to make sure that young people in Sutton have every opportunity to grow up well, get a great education and thrive in their careers.
