Your Wallington South Liberal Democrat team
Sam, Jayne and Muhammad
Sam Martin, Jayne McCoy and Muhammad Sadiq are working hard all year round, listening to residents and taking action on your priorities.
Recently, they have secured improvements to the 154 bus route, opposed inappropriate HMOs and fought to protect the Wallington Arms pub. They have worked with local police to increase neighbourhood patrols, root out drug dealing hotspots and crack down on shoplifting, helping to keep our area one of the safest in London.
Your team are standing up for residents by taking action on the cost-of-living, fighting for our local health services and working closely with the local police to increase neighbourhood patrols and keep our area safe.
With your support on May 7th, Sam, Jayne and Muhammad will continue to work hard for local residents and deliver for Wallington South.
Meet the team…
As Deputy Leader of Sutton Council, Sam has ensured that council money is spent wisely and delivers local improvements.
Sam has helped secure a £500 million investment to bring the London Cancer Hub to Sutton, supported improvements in our parks and led on community safety, bringing more police patrols to the area. Sam lives in Wallington with his partner and their 3 year old daughter.
As Wallington councillor for 20 years, Jayne has supported hundreds of local residents, helping them access the services they need.
Jayne is a key part of the local community. She organises the Wallington Remembrance poppy planting, has been involved with the Wallington Music Festival and Christmas lights events since they started, and advised residents on many local issues.
Muhammad runs his own retail business and is a long-serving councillor for Wallington.
He lives locally with his wife and they raised their two children here. Muhammad has been a school governor and held roles on a local Residents’ Association as well as charing the Beddington & Wallington Local Committee. He is a strong local champion and always on hand to help residents with issues.
