Ed, Sunil and Judy
Cllr Ed Joyce, Cllr Sunil Kumar and Cllr Judy Walsh are your Liberal Democrat Councillors in Beddington. They were first elected in 2010 and 2026.
Recently, they have secured improvements to the 154 bus route, introduced barriers to stop motorbikes on Roundshaw Downs and delivered improvements for Roundshaw Park. They've worked with local police to increase neighbourhood patrols, crack down on anti-social behaviour and shoplifting, and keep our area safe.
Your team are standing up for residents by taking action on the cost-of-living, fighting for our local health services and campaigning for better public transport. They are on hand to tackle any concerns you might have about issues the local council is responsible for in your local area.
Meet the team…
First elected in 2010 as a councillor for the South Beddington area, Ed has a strong track record of standing up for local residents.
He works closely with the police to tackle crime and anti-social behaviour, including illegal e-bikes on the downs. Ed supports residents with MTVH, helped keep the Roundshaw GP surgery open, and secured investment in local parks.
Sunil is an IT consultant and local parent who is actively involved in the community.
He is Chair of a local school charity, overseeing substantial fundraising to improve school facilities and outcomes. He also helps organise community festivals. Sunil has campaigned on key issues, including fixing our buses, enhancing road safety, and improving education.
Judy has lived in the area for most of her life and has a long history of public service and community involvement.
Judy is passionate about health and social care. She spent 40 years working in fostering and adoptions and led a national project working with young people. Judy is a trustee of a local health charity and a charity that supports families and children.
