Your Carshalton Central Liberal Democrat team
Isabel, Andrew and Jake
Isabel Araujo, Andrew Jenner and Jake Short are working hard all year round, listening to residents and taking action on your priorities.
Recently, they have secured improvements to the 154 bus route, protected our local heritage buildings by clearing up graffiti on the Grotto and bringing disused buildings like Grove House and Stonecourt back into use, and led the restoration of our much-loved ponds.
Your team are standing up for residents by taking action on the cost-of-living, fighting for our local health services and working closely with the local police to increase neighbourhood patrols and keep our area safe.
With your support on May 7th, Isabel, Andrew and Jake will continue to work hard for local residents and deliver for Carshalton Central.
Meet the team…
Isabel works for a sustainable fashion company. She is passionate about helping children stay active and supporting our local parks.
She helped set up free school holiday activities, secured inclusive play equipment across Carshalton and regularly joins local litter picks and pond cleans. An animal lover, Isabel volunteers for an animal charity and has a Westie called Ziggy.
Andrew is deeply involved in community and environmental work, helping to establish Friends of Wrythe Rec, volunteering with charities, and raising awareness of issues affecting the River Wandle.
Andrew is a Royal Navy veteran and a freelance film maker. He lives in Carshalton with his wife and cocker spaniel. He works closely with local police and is committed to keeping Carshalton a safe place to live.
As Chair of Sutton Council’s Housing and Economy Committee, Jake has helped secure a £500 million investment to bring the London Cancer Hub to Sutton and create thousands of local jobs.
A strong supporter of Carshalton’s heritage, he has championed the use of small brownfield sites for housing and brought disused historic sites back into use.
